Pay Type: Hourly Rate, bi-weekly.

Work Setting: In-Office.

Work Location: 1401 Landmark Drive, Cottage Grove, WI 53527.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.

• During the busy season (April through June) overtime may be required during the week and/or some weekend hours.

Billing Specialist Essential Responsibilities:

The Billing Specialist is a member of our Customer Service team with a focus on Agronomy Receiving and Billing. This position is responsible for providing effective customer support for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of ALCIVIA products and services as well as communicating effectively with team members throughout ALCIVIA.

• Process inventory of Agronomy products received and enter data into the computer system
• Issue customer invoices for Agronomy products and services
• Partner with the Agronomy Sales Team to execute Agronomy contracts into the computer system
• Partner with the Agronomy Sales Team to successfully and quickly answer customer questions related to billing, invoices, etc.
• Handle customer order changes and returns according to company policies and procedures
• Work closely with the Credit Department to resolve customer questions
• Notify management regarding important service issues or customer concerns
• Support cross-divisional collaboration whenever possible
• Help in other areas of the business as bandwidth allows
• During the busy season (Spring) for the Agronomy Team, some overtime may be required during the week and/or some weekends
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Billing Specialist Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Minimum of one (1) year billing experience is preferred
• Basic math, bookkeeping and accounting skills
• Organization, time management and prioritization abilities
• Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Proficient computer experience
• Agriculture knowledge is preferred (not required)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Sales and service focused mindset
• Work well independently and within a team
• Open to continuous learning and improvement opportunities
